Classes C1 - C1E - C - CE - Which class do you need?
Class C1
When the estate car is too small, but the truck is too big. With C1 you can drive vehicles up to 7.5 t – perfect for tradesmen or large motorhomes.
Class C1E
You need more power and space – and you need it right. C1E allows you to drive a vehicle combination with a total weight of up to 12 tons.
Class C
You drive the big ones and take on responsibility. With a C, you drive vehicles over 3.5 t, whether refuse collection vehicles, construction site vehicles or XXL motorhomes.
Class CE
Your load knows no compromises – and neither do you. With CE you drive trucks with trailers or articulated lorries – ideal for large commercial transports.

Education vouchers (BGS) - Employment Agency or Jobcenter
- You are unemployed or looking for work and would like to get a truck driver’s license and are eligible for a training voucher (BGS) or would like to find out or clarify the conditions and requirements for a BGS.
- You have received a training voucher from the Employment Agency (AA) or Jobcenter (JC) and would like to get your truck driver’s license.

How much does a truck driver's license cost in Düsseldorf?
The exact costs depend on the class you choose and your individual learning progress. During your personal consultation, you will receive an exact overview of all the “costs” and fees involved.
How long does intensive training for a truck class take?
Our HGV training is compact and effectively structured. The exact duration depends on the respective class to be acquired, but whether you only acquire a single or a double class depends very much on your individual learning speed.
For an intensive training course, however, you would have to be completely available in terms of time, and the organizational aspects would have to be arranged and completed in advance.
What documents do I need to register?
Your identity card is initially sufficient for registration at the driving school. However, an ophthalmologist’s certificate, which must not be older than 2 years, a medical examination by a company or occupational physician and a certificate of participation in a first aid seminar are then required to apply to the road traffic office.
How many special trips are prescribed?
This also depends on the class to be acquired, whether it is a single or double class. The special trips are made up of highway, interurban and night driving and take between 5 and 14 driving hours.
Where do the theory and practical exams take place?
Both tests take place at TÜV Rheinland in Düsseldorf.
Are there weekend or vacation courses?
